The MoFun Story
From a messy workbench to a global maker community — this is how MoFun came to life.
It All Started with a Failed Print
Like many great ideas, MoFun was born from frustration. Late one night, hunched over a noisy printer, watching yet another model warp off the bed for the third time, our founder asked a simple question: “Why is finding a file that actually prints so hard?”
After hours of scrolling through free model websites — downloading files that looked promising but turned out to be hollow, poorly manifold, or simply unprintable — it became clear that something was missing. The 3D printing world had plenty of models, but very few that were designed with the printing process in mind.
The Spark of an Idea
What if a store existed where every single file was crafted by designers who understood slicing, supports, and filament behavior? A place where you could buy a model and trust that it had been tested on real printers, with real settings, and real results?
That idea wouldn’t leave our minds. We started designing for ourselves — creating models that printed beautifully on our own machines. When friends and fellow makers began asking for copies, we realized the demand was real. In early 2026, MoFun was officially born.
The Name “MoFun”
The name is a blend of two things we deeply believe in: “Models” + “Fun”. We think 3D printing should spark joy — not just when you pull a finished print off the bed, but from the very first moment you download a file. “MoFun” reminds us every day to keep the experience light, exciting, and accessible to everyone.
Our Design Philosophy
Every model in the MoFun library is built around three core principles:
